How To Protect Your Online Reputation

- Monitor Your Reputation
You cannot begin to control the conversation around your brand if you do not know what is being said. You can start monitoring by subscribing to Google Alerts for keywords that include the names of your company, its brands, and its principals. You can also search keywords on some of the social media sites like Twitter.Unfortunately, Google Alerts is not enough on its own, and you may need to add more robust, professional monitoring to provide full security. Remember, people are commenting on blogs, sharing complaints in social media and venting on review sites.
Make sure you monitor your social media accounts even on the weekends. Checking in once or twice a day and offering a quick response to a question or complaint can prevent problems from blowing all out of proportion because people thought you were ignoring them.
