Inclusive Competitiveness: America’s 21st Century Economic Vision

By Mike Green
Sept. 27, 2013

Inclusive Competitiveness is a national economic imperative that policymakers nationwide should consider as their highest investment priority and America’s 21st Century Economic Vision.

Johnathan Holifield, Esq. is the “Father of Inclusive Competitiveness,” an economic philosophy and framework rapidly gaining traction as the nation’s premier economic vision for the 21st century. Holifield’s Inclusive Competitiveness vision is based upon a naked eye observation backed by solid research data:

“The United States will not, indeed, cannot, achieve its highest economic competitiveness goals with so many of its citizens producing so little to the nation’s GDP,” Holifield says.

There isn’t really any debate over the economic challenges facing America today.

Karen Mills, head of the Small Business Administration proclaims [high-growth] entrepreneurship is America’s “secret sauce” to global competitiveness. Yet, America is producing far fewer high-growth entrepreneurs today than prior to the recession.

Moreover, the highest rate of entrepreneurship is occurring among Black and Hispanic Americans at 60% and 44% respectively (source: Census), which is triple and double the national average, yet combined these two demographics (30% of the overall population) produce LESS than 3.5% of the nation’s GDP and statistically nil net new job growth (zero).

America cannot compete and produce enough jobs and wealth with so much of our population disconnected from the resource networks that fuel the knowledge-based, tech-driven globally competitive innovation economy.

Johnathan Holifield quote

ECONOMIC SOLUTION: INCLUSIVE COMPETITIVENESS

Inclusive Competitiveness is key to America’s global competitiveness future.

We must invest in developing infrastructure and essential connecting channels and bridges that inform, educate, empower, equip and resource millions of America’s innovators in minority communities to reach their highest entrepreneurial potential, with access to the landscape of investment capital that fuels America’s rocket-propelled innovation economy.

Holifield introduces Inclusive Competitiveness in the following glossary of terms and in his keynote presentation given at the Puget Sound Economic Solutions Summit in Tacoma, Washington on Aug. 16, 2013.
